This Warranty Policy outlines the warranty terms, conditions, coverage, exclusions, and claim procedures for all products sold through our website (https://www.territories.co.ke/) and our physical store in Nairobi.

By purchasing any product from Territories Technologies Ltd, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this Warranty Policy. This policy operates alongside our Refund and Returns Policy and Terms & Conditions.

2. Scope of Coverage

This warranty applies to:

Brand New computers, laptops, and desktops
Refurbished and pre-owned computers and laptops
Computer accessories and parts (adapters, chargers, batteries, storage drives, keyboards, LCD screens, etc.)
Projectors and projector screens
Other electronic gadgets sold by Territories Technologies Ltd

This warranty covers manufacturing defects present at the time of purchase but does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, or normal wear and tear (see Section 6).

3. Warranty Periods by Product Category

3.1 Computer Laptops & Desktops

Important: All computers come pre-installed with a trial version of Windows and Office valid for 30 days. No software installation is performed unless purchased separately by the buyer. No warranty covers software-related issues or purchases.

4. Types of Warranty Available

4.1 Manufacturer Warranty

Applies to all items sold as sealed with valid East African manufacturer warranty.
Customers must visit the manufacturer’s authorized warranty center in person for faster service.
Required documents: original receipt and order copy.

4.2 Dealership Warranty

Applies to units without valid East African manufacturer warranty (intended for sale in other regions).
Territories Technologies Ltd provides a 1-year dealership/shop warranty subject to conditions stated herein.

4.3 Dubai Warranty

Units with Dubai Warranty do not have valid East African manufacturer warranty.
Territories Technologies Ltd offers NO WARRANTY whatsoever on Dubai warranty units.
Customers must test these units on delivery or before purchase.

5. What Is Covered Under Warranty

The warranty covers manufacturing defects and faults that:

Were present at the time of purchase
Arise from normal use under intended conditions
Are not caused by customer misuse, accidents, or unauthorized modifications

Examples of covered issues:

Motherboard failure due to manufacturing defect
Factory-defective storage drives
Defective factory-sealed components
Hardware malfunctions not caused by external factors

6. What Is NOT Covered Under Warranty

The warranty explicitly excludes:

7. Warranty Claim Process

Step 2: Diagnosis & Assessment

For Manufacturer Warranty items: You will be directed to the manufacturer’s authorized service centre.
For Dealership/Shop Warranty items: Territories Technologies Ltd will assess the defect.

Step 3: Resolution

Depending on the assessment, one of the following will apply:

Repair by authorized technician
Replacement with same or equivalent model (if repair is not feasible)
Refund (only if product is completely defective upon delivery and within 10-day return period)

Note: After the 10-day return period, any issue is treated as a repair/maintenance issue, not a return.

Step 4: Shipping & Costs

For returns/exchanges: Customer is responsible for shipping costs to our physical store.

8. Return & Refund Relationship with Warranty

Return Period: 10 days from purchase/delivery date for defective products or manufacturing errors.
Refund Grounds:
- Completely defective product upon delivery
- Manufacturer Warranty applies.
Refurbished Items: Can be exchanged within the first 10 days.
After 10 days, issues are handled under warranty repair, not return/refund.

9. Customer Responsibilities

To maintain warranty validity, customers must:

Retain the original receipt and order confirmation.
Test the product on delivery (especially for Dubai warranty units).
Use the product according to manufacturer instructions.
Avoid unauthorized repairs or modifications.
Report defects promptly within the warranty period.
Carry receipt and order copy when visiting manufacturer warranty centers.

Failure to meet these responsibilities may void the warranty.

10. Warranty Limitations & Disclaimers

Warranty periods are maximum limits; actual repair/replacement time depends on parts availability and service center workload.
Territories Technologies Ltd reserves the right to determine whether a defect is covered under warranty.
Battery life varies based on usage, cycle count, number of cells, and device type; the 1-month warranty on refurbished batteries is a minimum guarantee.
Prices on territories.co.ke are subject to change without prior notice based on stock availability and running offers.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights; you may also have other rights varying by jurisdiction under Kenyan consumer law.

11. Geographic Coverage

This warranty applies to:

Purchases made within Kenya
Products delivered to Nairobi and countrywide
Same-day delivery available in Nairobi for orders placed before 4:00 PM
Next-day delivery countrywide (cut-off: 12:00 PM on public holidays)

For customers outside Kenya, warranty terms may differ based on international shipping and local regulations.
